Dawson News provide a dedicated Retail Team to help service the needs of both multiple and independent customers. There is a National Account Team that conducts regular visits to the head office of multiple customers whilst there is a dedicated team of RSM's (Retail Sales Managers) who focus on independent customers.
The RSM's are unique to Dawson News amongst UK wholesalers, and are located at each of Dawson News Logistic Centres to provide assistance with:
- Store Opening procedures
- Display and Presentation advice
- Training on Magazine and Newspaper procedures / paperwork
- Information on Interest Free credit facilities for Racking and EPoS systems
- Information about Security systems & CCTV
- Copy Management
- Sales Initiatives
- Membership of Sales Incentive schemes
Most importantly, the RSM can act as a link between the retailer and the supplying Logistic Centre to develop relationships and establish plans to grow sales.
The service provided is supplemented by a bi-annual survey, "Focus on You", where feedback from retail customers is canvassed. The suggestions made by retail customers are then built into Dawson News development plans.
